Colour:

Features a selection of small paintings on gesso board. Created by the patients during the painting workshops, these formed part of the Artist Residency at the Ablett Psychiatric Unit, Glan Clwyd Hospital. The drag, and zoom in and out features, offer the experience to view the paintings more closely.

Intimacy & trust:

‘She dreamed of…' is a collaborative video with a patient, which was filmed in the hospital as part of the video workshops. The installation of the film invites the viewer to experience the film as it was exhibited, in relation to its surroundings.

Language:

Examples of selected patient's poems composed during the creative writing workshops at the Ablett Unit are displayed in text and animated versions.

'She couldn't recollect so we filled her with memories' features a film performed and created at the hospital in response to an individual creative writing workshop with a patient. The film installation allows the experience to view the film in context.

Preverbal:

White' is a collaborative film in response to the Artist Residency at the Ablett Psychiatric Unit. It was filmed in a former hospital, at Glyndwr University, Wrexham. The installation of the film invites the viewer to experience the film as it was exhibited, in relation to its surroundings.

Sounds of infinity:

Initially originating from anagrams from the names of drugs used in psychiatry, these three selected sound poems were created in response to ideas based upon the creative writing workshops.

Features a selection of photographs and video stills created by the patients during the pinhole photography and video/sound workshops. The drag, and zoom in and out features offer the experience to view the images more closely.

Visualising the Invisible:

Consists of installation images from the exhibition Visualising the Invisible: Artists working in Mental Health (July 2010). The exhibition was a culmination of artworks, which formed part of the Artist Residency at the Ablett Psychiatric Unit. The exhibits were presented as part of the Wrexham Science Festival 2010 and displayed at Glyndwr University, which was itself a former hospital.
